Eucalyptus — Silver Dollar · Growers Bunch

Silver Dollar eucalyptus is named for its distinctive round leaves that grow in pairs along each stem, ranging from quarter-size near the tip to silver-dollar size at the base. The color is a soft, silvery blue-gray that adds an almost ethereal quality to arrangements — especially striking against pure white or blush flowers.

It is a favorite for boutonnieres and corsages, where a short sprig or a few individual leaves frame the focal flower beautifully. In loose, garden-style bouquets it adds a relaxed, organic quality that contrasts well with the more structured shape of roses or lisianthus. For ceremony arches, longer stems create graceful draping movement when layered over a base of Italian Ruscus.

Individual leaves can be removed from the stem and used separately — useful for very small pieces like cake flowers or place setting accents.

Pairs well with all rose varieties, waxflower, lisianthus, seeded eucalyptus, and Israeli Ruscus. Conditions easily with a good vase life of 10 or more days.
