How to Order the Right Quantities

One of the biggest DIY challenges is figuring out how many stems to order. Order too few and you're scrambling; order too much and you're over budget. Use the tables below as your starting point — then add 10–15% extra as a buffer for stems that don't open perfectly or get damaged in conditioning.

How Many Stems for My Wedding?

Rough estimates based on typical wedding setups. Arrangements vary by flower size and personal style.

Wedding SizeTablesEst. Total Stems
Intimate (25–50 guests)4–6150–250
Small (50–100 guests)7–12250–450
Medium (100–150 guests)12–18450–700

How to Calculate Your Own Order

  1. List every arrangement type you need and how many of each.
  2. Multiply quantity × stems per arrangement for each type (use the table above).
  3. Add all totals together to get your gross stem count.
  4. Add 10–15% buffer for waste and damaged stems.
  5. Convert to bunches — our flowers are sold by the bunch. Check each product listing for bunch size (e.g., "10 Stems" or "25 Stems").
